Get involved with other students to coordinate community service opportunities in Richmond.

Started by the women of Grace & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church as a soup kitchen, the Red Door Ministry has expanded to one of healing, hospitality, and wholeness. The Red Door strives to care for the whole person in body, mind and spirit. 

When: 2 hour shifts on Fridays from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

For more than 30 years, Second Presbyterian has provided lunch on Mondays to homeless people and others in need. Volunteer opportunities: Register guests as they arrive; prepare and serve lunch; serve drinks; share meals with our guests. Volunteer opportunities include: Registering guests as they arrive; preparing and serving lunch; serving drinks; sharing meals with our guests.

When: Mondays from 10 am to 1 pm

Belmont Communtiy Resource Services helps feed and care for over 300 families per week. All are welcome to volunteer! Spanish-speaking is a plus but not necessary.

When: Thursdays and Fridays

The need for food in the greater-Richmond area has rapidly increased as the effects of the pandemic continue. Help keep area pantries stocked! See below for ways to donate to active United Methodist food ministries in the area, who together serve over 400 families a week.
